چکیده
Subjective accommodation refractive error models are essential for implementing adaptive vision correction devices that utilize varifocal optics. This article describes compact empirical of subjective accommodative errors in subjects with advanced presbyopia. The based on measurements from fifteen presbyopes over the age 45 using commercially available focus-tunable eyeglasses under three different illumination conditions a 3.08D stimulus range. resulting average residual root-mean-squared (RMS) values best fitting 8-parameter model was 0.25D compared to an RMS 0.4D conventional DDF and HHG models. best-fitting is below human eye.

Adaptive optics for peripheral vision
Understanding peripheral optical errors and their impact on vision is important for various applications, e.g. research on myopia development and optical correction of patients with central visual field loss. In this study, we investigated whether correction of higher order aberrations with adaptive optics (AO) improve resolution beyond what is achieved with best peripheral refractive correctio...

The ciliary body is a circular structure ( as appears in coronal section and triangular in cross section) forming a complete ring which is continuos anteriorly with the iris periphery and posteriorly with the choroid. It measures about 6mm wide (6.5-mm on temporal side and 5.5-mm on the nasal side) and extends forward to the scleral spur and backward to the ora serrata of the retina. It present...
متن کاملApplications of Adaptive Optics for Vision Science
There are a number of applications of adaptive optics for basic research in vision science, as it is now possible to study microstructures in the living human retina which could not be done before. One of the biggest merits provided by adaptive optics is that it is non-invasive. In this chapter, we describe the applications of an adaptive optics system for vision research, not only for basic sc...
متن کاملAdaptive Sleep-Wake Discrimination for Wearable Devices
Sleep/wake classification systems that rely on physiological signals suffer from intersubject differences that make accurate classification with a single, subject-independent model difficult. To overcome the limitations of intersubject variability, we suggest a novel online adaptation technique that updates the sleep/wake classifier in real time. The objective of the present study was to evalua...

Minimizing the aberrations is the basic concern of all the optical system designers. For this purpose, a large amount of work has been carried out and plenty of literature can be found on the subject. Until the last twenty years, the large majority of the optical design was relat‐ ed to “static” optical systems, where several opto-mechanical parameters, such as refractive index, shape, curvatur...
